Why Panchakarma therapy is superior to other therapies?

Can anyone have Panchakarma treatment?
Except for a few categories of people like very elderly people, children, pregnant women etc, anyone can have Panchakarma treatments.


How often should I undergo Panchakarma/ detox program?
Ideally, it is best to detox your body seasonally, four times per year. As many of us are not able to do that, we recommend doing it at least once per year.


Can I go for Panchakarma even though I’m not suffering from any Disease?
Panchakarma is a therapy that can be done regularly (quarterly, half-yearly or yearly) to rid the body of toxins and provides protection from all kinds of diseases. As such, Panchakarma is ideal not only for people with health problems but also for the healthy since it helps in cleansing and rejuvenation. It works on all levels of the human energy system that includes the mind, body and emotions.


Should everyone have to undergo all the Panchakarma procedures?
It is important to notice that a specific, highly individualized Panchakarma protocol is advised for each individual after complete physical examination (Prakriti Analysis) and pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha). So everyone has no need to undergo each and every procedure.

Do I pick my Program/treatments? Or How do I decide on how many days to do Panchakarma?
If you know your Prakriti (On the basis of your vata, pitta, kapha constitution) you may choose (Kapha – Vaman , Pitta – Virechana, Basti) – for all the 3 doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha, through the colon.

Can I do yoga / exercise during the detox programme? Or Can I exercise during my Panchakarma week?
It is good to slow down during Panchakarma. You can do the gentle yoga or gentle walks.


Will Panchakarma provide me quick relief?
Panchakarma helps in the purification and rejuvenation of the body and mind. It does so by restoring balance of doshas and elimination of toxins. The therapy should be followed by a proper diet and lifestyle so that the positive changes triggered by Panchakarma are maintained, and noticeable results can be seen. Though Panchakarma may provide quick relief in relaxing and rejuvenating a healthy individual, in people with ailments it may take some time to show effects.


Does Panchakarma alone will cure disease?
By Panchakarma treatment, more than 50 – 60 % of Ayurvedic treatment gets completed. But to treat the disease completely, Ayurvedic medicines will be required for a specific amount of time.​


What are the post Panchakarma procedure?
After undergoing Panchakarma treatment, there is a set of diet and lifestyle rules to be followed for a period of 3 – 7 days to enjoy the maximum benefits of Panchakarma.​
